RT x MTB
When you’ve built a brand on speed, adrenaline, and a love for two-wheeled thrills, people tend to expect you to stay in your lane. But at Red Torpedo, we’ve never been ones to take the easy route—and after nearly two decades bringing our biker community some of the best casual gear on the planet, it was time to level up.
Two Years of Planning our Next Move
A couple of years back, our team sat down and asked: “What’s next?” The decision to jump into mountain biking wasn’t made on a whim. Like our road and track family, MTB riders thrive on high-speed action, razor-sharp reflexes, and fearlessness. It felt like the perfect fit—not just for our brand, but also for the riders who’ve always been at the heart of Red Torpedo. Be it tarmac or dirt trails, our DNA as a brand doesn’t change - it just gives us more ways to live and breathe the adrenaline-fueled lifestyle.
First-Ever Technical MTB Clothing
Here’s where it gets really exciting: venturing into mountain biking has allowed us to design and develop our very first line of technical clothing—our LFG MTB pants, shorts, and jerseys. Creating gear that can stand up to the mud, rocks, and wipeouts was an entirely new challenge for our design team, especially given we build every product from the ground up. We pulled together all our experience from the circuits, roads and dirt loops (where durability and comfort are non-negotiable) and poured it into making threads that can handle anything you or the trail can dish out.
Experimenting with Core Products

Venturing into new territory has also sparked fresh ideas for our core lines. Our iconic t-shirts, shirts, and hoodies have always been held in high regard by bikers, but taking a deep dive into MTB apparel gave us an excuse to get creative with new styles and fits across the board. Expect some surprises later this year, as we’ll be rolling out brand-new casual products that take the Red Torpedo style you know and love and crank it up a notch.
Getting Involved

Before sharing our MTB range with the world, we had to put them to the test – personally. So, the team grabbed some bikes and headed off-road at Glentress to put our new gear through its paces. There’s no better way to ensure quality than to tackle muddy trails and challenging descents first-hand. Not only did this help us confirm that our materials and designs are ready for serious action, but it also fueled our own excitement. Nothing makes us happier than creating lines that we know will perform out there in the dirt!

Focusing on Feedback
After an afternoon on the trails, we hosted a focus group at Glentress, enticing experienced riders with free pizza and beer to get to know them better, and get their candid opinions on our debut MTB line. From fabric choice to fit to pocket placement, we listened carefully to each piece of feedback. Insights from a group of real-world riders are invaluable in refining the details of our next lines. Our mission has always been to deliver products that not only align with who we are as a brand, but also genuinely meet and exceed the needs of our customers and markets.
Embracing the Challenge
Mountain biking isn’t just a new market for us—it’s a whole new arena to test our limits. Every mud-splattered ride and rocky descent pushes us further outside our comfort zone. We’re all about embracing that challenge, learning from every twist and turn, and using that knowledge to keep raising the bar across our entire brand.

Same Heart, New Adventure
If you’re a die-hard motorcycle race fan, don’t worry—we haven’t forgotten our roots. Red Torpedo was raised between the hedges, and that spirit will never change. We just saw a chance to bring our passion for speed and precision to another crowd of adrenaline junkies. So, whether you’re leaning hard into a tight corner on the road or bombing down a steep trail in the forest, Red Torpedo has your back.
Stay tuned while we roll out our debut MTB gear—and keep an eye out for the fresh takes on our classic lines. This is just the start of a brand-new chapter for Red Torpedo, and we can’t wait to have you along for the ride.
