Summer Lovin'
Summer - the season where the days stretch longer & the sun (should) shines brighter. If only it beckoned us with a warm breeze and sun-kissed skin. Instead we're getting hot rain and feelin seasonally betrayed! This hasn't stopped us though. We launched our summer collection and headed to one of our favourite race meets on the calendar in our new van/home.
Launching our long anticipated summer collection
From oversized t-shirts to base layers, this year Red Torpedo introduced products that have quickly become favorites. Our collection features trendy colors and quirky designs, much to the delight of our designer. The oversized t-shirt has been a standout hit, affirming our decision to expand this line. Stay tuned for exciting additions to our women's collection. The positive feedback has been incredibly encouraging, energising us for future projects.
The new RT wheels
We recently received our new van, and it's an absolute dream! A big thanks to Rampage Vehicles for sourcing and customising it to our specifications. As soon as it arrived, we reached out to SJB Customs, recommended to us by Lee Johnston. Conveniently located in Clydebank, just a stone's throw from our base in Hillington, SJB Customs did an outstanding job converting the back area into a livable space. They carefully considered our need to transport an entire trade stand and stock to various events across the UK. Fully insulated to the highest standard, our van now provides a warm and comfortable place to camp.
Armoy Road Races: The Race of Legends
Have we mentioned how much we love this race meet? We've been attending since 2018, back when we were the only trade stand, the event was quiet, and the competitor list was generally low. Year by year, this little race has grown significantly. More traders are setting up, locals are lining the streets, and the competitor list is now full. It’s quickly becoming a must-do on everyone's calendar!
This year, the weather cooperated perfectly, allowing all races to finish without a hitch. Our brand ambassadors, Paul Jordan and Conor Cummins, had a successful outing, with Paul making it to the podium in Supersport Race 1. The man of the moment, Davey Todd, won the overall Race of Legends on the Milwaukee BMW M1000RR and set a new lap record of 109.325 mph!
None of this would be possible without the dedicated organisers who pour their heart and soul into this iconic race. Thanks to them and to the marshals and volunteers, it was another safe and successful weekend for all.
The Comeback of Conrod
Red Torpedo Red Rider, Conor Cummins, announced his participation in the Armoy Road Races with none other than FHO Racing BMW! This was incredible news and marked a significant change for him. We were thrilled to see how much happier he was. It had been 11 years since Conor last raced in Armoy.
"It feels like we've hit the reset button" and it truly did show.
We know the future is bright for him, and we can't wait to see what the 2025 season holds!
